Become a published author!!!

Folks,

For the last two years I have been a book/author scout for a mid-size publisher and I'm always looking for writers/authors who have book ideas or who would like to be matched to one. The areas of most interest include:

• Pop culture (music, hip-hop, film, videogames, internet, etc.)
• Black culture/interests (social, political, religious, financial, etc.)
• Latino culture/interests (social, political, religious, financial, etc.)
• Critical music biographies (all genres, but especially hip-hop)
• Women's interests
• And many other contemporary topics.

(The publisher does not publish fiction or memoirs.)

I would like to hear from you and your friends/colleagues/associates who are interested in being published authors, or who already are and would like to develop a new idea.

I have been very fortunate to have so far had a lot of success in identifying authors/projects, working with them to develop and write proposals, and ultimately getting people book deals.

And I am eager to find new ideas and authors!
